Shindo Market offers customers a special experience centered around beef. Customers who purchase meat at Shindo Market, a butcher shop, can enjoy it immediately at Shindo Lab located inside the store. CEO Hwang Chang-hwan, who places great importance on the genetics and quality of beef, spent 10 years living in Japan, where he experienced the dining culture firsthand. After returning to Korea, he established a unique position in the food industry by selling lunch boxes that generated daily sales of 30 million won. One day, while trying to source Chateaubriand, a French-style beef steak, for his wife's birthday, he discovered that he could not purchase the quantity he wanted. This experience led him to open his own butcher shop where consumers could buy high-quality meat in the quantities they desired. He acquired "Shindo Livestock Distribution," the ninth butcher shop to open in Busan, and believing that a story is necessary for running a business, he selected a location imbued with the memories and history of the local residents to reopen it as Shindo Market, a lifestyle-oriented butcher shop. With exceptional affection, he personally renovated the interior and exterior of the space, taking inspiration from butcher shops he had seen in the UK. This place serves Grade 1++ Hanwoo beef and fresh charcuterie. What he values most is taste, not style. One can glimpse his mindset as a producer and shop owner striving to present high-quality food, even if it is a bit rustic. Shindo Market accepts reservations for only eight guests a day to focus on serving each individual customer. This is to offer a new experience that goes beyond simply tasting beef. He refers to the food and service provided at Shindo Lab as "Fun Dining," encouraging guests to savor the moment while feeling the atmosphere of the space.
