Paper Boy Studio welcomes you with a newspaper delivery boy holding a newspaper as big as himself. This design stationery concept store originated from the taste of CEO Bae Hyun-jae, who was captivated by the custom notebook culture he stumbled upon back when the term "Dakku" (short for decorating a diary) was less familiar than it is today. He was intrigued by the fact that unique notebooks could be created depending on how they are used, as users could select covers and inner pages according to their own preferences. He opened Paper Boy Studio hoping that more people in Daegu would seek stationery that reflects their individuality and taste the more they use it, just like custom notebooks. The shop sells a curated selection of various design stationery, centering on "MIDORI" and "TRAVELER'S notebook," representative custom notebook brands that are not easily found in Korea. Initially, the space was left blank to create an open studio where many people could freely come and go and work on printing and design tasks; however, it has now been filled with paper to more thoroughly showcase the charm of custom notebooks. The resulting appearance feels just like a single sheet of paper filled with familiar doodles. CEO Bae Hyun-jaeโ€™s desire to demonstrate the precise uses of his products is evident in the friendly explanations and testers placed throughout the store. Thanks to his genuine passion for custom notebooks, the store has become one of only three locations in Korea to partner with Travelers Note. Paper Boy Studio is not stopping there; to establish its own unique identity, it is also pouring effort into developing in-house products, such as design stationery exclusive to the studio. Paper Boy Studio hopes that customers can choose what truly suits them through the experience of visiting, seeing, and touching the products in person. Let us immerse ourselves in the charm of stationery that grows to resemble you the more you touch it.
