Just outside downtown Daegu lies the tranquil abandoned Gomo Station, where trains no longer stop. Turning your head slightly from the station, you can see Ruli Coffee, a low-rise, spacious red brick building. The green logo, featuring a swallow perched on a red brick, exudes an exotic charm. Ruli Coffee embodies the aspirations of CEO Kim Cheol-woo, who hopes to expand the range of coffee bean options so that many can broaden their personal coffee experiences and freely explore the world of coffee. It has now established itself as a representative local roastery cafe in Daegu. Operating as a specialty drip coffee brand to focus on the authentic taste of coffee, the long rows of beans at the bar immediately catch the eye, followed by attention focused once again on the space behind the floor-to-ceiling glass where the roasting machine is housed. All of Ruli Coffee's beans are roasted on-site, and the cafe carries a total of seven varieties, including Ethiopian, Brazilian, Colombian, and Kenyan beans. In addition to drip coffee, they also offer espresso-based milk coffee and ice cream coffee. CEO Kim, hoping that drip coffee will become a part of people's daily lives, displayed coffee beans and drip bags in the center of the store so that passersby could easily purchase and browse them. Furthermore, one can feel the sincerity of Ruli Coffee in the way they provide a drip bag to every customer who orders coffee. Sitting on the terrace facing Gomo Station, the aroma of drip coffee enjoyed while watching trains run along the old tracks leaves us with quite vivid memories.
