Reflecting Denmark's minimalist and stylish design, Cafรฉ Copenhagen is the hideout of barista Kim Gwi-young and baker Shin Su-jeong. The space, where the couple's tastes naturally blend, was inspired by Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, where they went for their honeymoon. They felt that the harbor-side city, the local shops showcasing their unique personalities, and the people spending leisurely time there resembled Busan. With the desire to capture a little Copenhagen in Busan, they named the shop after the airport code CPH. In Seoul, the couple worked as a barista and the owner of a bakery and brunch spot, respectively. They had vowed that someday, when they got older, they would move down to Busan, CEO Shin Su-jeong's hometown, and ended up opening this space sooner than expected. Their signature cinnamon bun has been made since they first ran a bakery in Seoul. For coffee, they prepare beans selected from various roasteries, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences. For local customers spending their mornings alone, this is the perfect place. This is because they can spend some time to themselves, quietly reading a book or listening to music while drinking coffee. Copenhagen also curates and introduces items that the couple likes, such as books and records. Since it changes to reflect their tastes from time to time, it is truly a living, breathing space. Perhaps it was the city of Busan that made it this way. After all, it brought many changes to their lives, such as having the wedding they had dreamed of, adopting a lovely dog, and running a cafe. The daily lives of these two, who may one day move to another city, are flowing and undulating like the sea of Gwangalli that unfolds just a short walk away.
