Heavy Sneaker is a small shop that clearly distinguishes between 'vintage' and 'secondhand.' Vintage refers to original products that are being rediscovered today while capturing the historical context of the past, while secondhand goods from brands that reproduce or reinterpret these are called 'secondhand.' Respecting these two worlds, which feel too inadequate to be simply lumped together under the term 'second-hand,' and wanting to promote their value, Heavy Sneaker began with the desire to share this sentiment. It has already been two years since CEO Park Jun-sang opened Heavy Sneaker in Cheongju, where he has lived for a long time. Although CEO Park has traversed completely different career paths—from ski instructor and career soldier to running a clothing store—his passion for clothing was at the foundation of all those experiences. Currently, he single-handedly handles everything from buying and store management to customer service, filling the space with his own unique style. Heavy Sneaker primarily deals with brands such as REMI RELIEF , 45R , and KAPITAL , which are based in Japan yet reinterpret the spirit of American military and workwear . Fascinated by second-hand goods since his school days, he has never let go of the joy of studying rarity and detail, and even now, he selects items focusing on the necks and sleeve ribs that show the most wear and tear. To source high-quality second-hand items, he personally visits the birthplace of brands to put in the legwork. Recently, he renovated the store to expand space utilization and redesigned the layout to ensure a comfortable stay for customers. Heavy Sneaker is slowly continuing its own story, so that a respect for vintage and second-hand items can permeate among the people.
