A subtle silver signboard and a wooden coffee bar visible through the gaps in the blinds make their presence known. This is Comfort Coffee, one of the most beloved cafes on Unnidan-gil. Owner Yoon Min-wook opened Comfort Coffee in 2017, embodying the meaning of "comfort," with the desire to create coffee that could serve as a quiet pause in someone's day. From the lighting emitting a warm yellow glow and the charming wood-toned furniture to the flowers adding vibrancy to the spacious tables, his taste, filled in every detail, completes the space with a sense of density. Must-try items here are the Basil Tomato Ade and the seasonal tarts. The Basil Tomato Ade, packed with bright red cherry tomatoes, evokes the refreshing coolness of summer just by looking at it. The tarts, made with seasonal fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and figs, are one of the reasons to visit this place whenever the seasons change. The pistachio madeleine, reminiscent of Dubai chocolate, features a madeleine with a raised navel filled with ganache and generously coated with crushed pistachios for added nuttiness. Pairing this with a cup of caffè latte topped with a rich, smooth milk foam that fills the mouth completes the comforting solace unique to Comfort Coffee.
