A handmade jewelry brand that unravels a kitschy sensibility by freely weaving various materials. Launched in 2020 by CEO Park Sharon, Niro Serendipity presents jewelry that naturally blends into everyday life by combining beads, pearls, gemstones, and silver, drawing on the aesthetic sense she cultivated while working as a stylist. The brand proposes designs that add a light accent to style by harmoniously blending classic pearls, cheerful colored beads, and distinctive motifs. Having expanded its presence through styling collaborations with various K-POP artists such as New Jeans, Big Bang, and Rize, the brand continues to steadily expand its unique design language by reinterpreting familiar materials with new combinations and sensibilities.

Q. You have experienced various fields as a stylist. Is there something that comes to mind first when you create jewelry?

I think of the person before the product. I begin the design process after first considering who the piece will suit and in what atmosphere it will naturally shine. The habit I developed while working as a stylist, focusing on the individual and the overall balance, continues to this day. This is because I have experienced countless times in the field where the final detail could completely alter the overall impression, no matter how good the outfit was. Therefore, I believe that jewelry should not be the first thing to catch the eye, but rather play a role in naturally completing the wearer's vibe. Rather than a single product overwhelming the style, the design philosophy of Niro Serendipity is to highlight a person's unique taste and individuality.

Q. Niro Serendipity's jewelry always incorporates a variety of materials, such as beads, pearls, gemstones, and silver. Is there a reason why you design by weaving these diverse materials together?

I believe that different materials suit each design. Rather than sticking to specific materials, I naturally came to use a variety of materials by selecting those that best fit the mood I wanted to express. Even familiar materials like beads and pearls can create completely different atmospheres depending on how their colors and shapes are arranged. While working, there are many moments when I discover new charms in unexpected combinations. That is why I place great importance on the process of personally arranging and combining materials one by one by hand.

Q. Although you can find the brand online, what is the reason you continue to operate the Sindang-dong showroom and custom work?

I believe that jewelry achieves its true completeness only when worn. This is because even the same design can create a completely different impression depending on the wearer's vibe and style. It is difficult to convey everything through photographs alone—from the texture of the material and the impression created by the length to the atmosphere it creates on the skin. By trying it on yourself, you naturally discover what suits you best. Customization is important for the same reason. By fully understanding a person's taste and story and interpreting them through Niro Serendipity's unique sensibility, a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry is created. I believe that this process itself is a way of experiencing the brand.

Q. Niro Serendipity's jewelry frequently appears in the styling of various K-POP artists. What do you think is the reason for this?

I believe this is the result of an increasing number of people appreciating the small details that only I knew. Rather than following trends, I place greater importance on the process of consistently experiencing and learning about what I like and new tastes. As such time accumulated, the unique direction of the Niro Serendipity naturally emerged.

Q. <Edit DEPT: Neo Local> introduces brands that re-examine the familiar through today's sensibilities. What does 'Neo Local' mean to Niro Serendipity?

I believe that even materials we have been familiar with for a long time can be reinterpreted through a contemporary sensibility. The process of freely combining various materials, including beads and pearls, and adding new modes of expression to create a style unique to Niro is in the same vein. It is fascinating how the same material can create a completely new impression simply by changing the combination, proportions, and colors. I believe that viewing the familiar with a fresh perspective and adding contemporary tastes and sensibilities to long-used materials is what ultimately creates the design unique to Niro Serendipity. That is precisely what Neo Local is—creating unfamiliar fun from familiar things, rather than a grandiose concept.

Q. Is there a value you would like to continue upholding without changing in the future?

It is about not losing a joyful and happy heart even while experiencing and learning new things. Running a brand means facing rapidly changing trends and various attempts, but I believe that what ultimately lasts is the attitude of consistently creating what I love. Moving forward, I want to continue the unique sensibility and joy of Niro Serendipity without being afraid of new materials and modes of expression. I hope that this energy is naturally infused into our products, and that our jewelry becomes a long-lasting companion in the daily lives of those who encounter Niro Serendipity.
