Dolsoe Tteokjip has been a fixture at the entrance of Wolbae Market for nine years. The shop's signature item is 'Angkkojeolpyeon,' characterized by its soft yet chewy texture and a generous filling of fine ingredients. In addition to the standard red bean paste, they also offer new varieties of Angkkojeolpyeon filled with unique flavors such as banana, strawberry, and green tea. It is said that Dolsoe Tteokjip was the first to use fillings other than red bean paste inside a rice cake shaped like a jeolpyeon. The filling, made by appropriately blending domestic red beans and milk, offers just the right amount of sweetness and a soft texture. While it is recommended to consume them on the same day, they are also a delicacy when thawed from frozen storage and pan-fried with butter until golden brown. The butter-fried Angkkojeolpyeon, which is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, boasts such a savory flavor and distinctive taste that they even considered commercializing it. All of Dolsoe Tteokjip's rice cakes are personally handcrafted by CEO Seok Yu-jun, who dedicates 12 hours a day, from 10 PM to 10 AM, to the task. The reason for adhering to this method stems from the owner's philosophy of providing consumers with high-quality rice cakes that offer consistent taste. Among the rice cakes made with premium ingredients, the mugwort ones are particularly noteworthy. Because they generously add mugwort grown on-site, the cakes boast an exceptional flavor that is incomparable to those found at other shops. Although the prices are on the higher side compared to other stores, most items sell out by early afternoon thanks to the consistently maintained quality and taste. Since same-day reservations for red bean paste rice cakes are available by phone, it is recommended to inquire at the store in advance if you wish to purchase them.
