Upon entering Oily Burger, where gray brick walls and an orange sign catch the eye, a delicious scene unfolds as staff in navy uniforms grill buns and patties, layering ingredients and generously drizzling sauce. CEO Park Chan-hee, who loved street culture, clothing, and shoes and had previously worked in sales and service, took over a friend's shop when the friend faced financial difficulties and began operating Oily Burger in earnest in 2016. Having worked in fast-food restaurants for a long time, he realized his deep affection for hamburgers. Making a hamburger was about discovering many rules within simplicity, and watching customers enjoy these burgers was another source of joy for him. The music playing in the store, the uniforms, and the interior design inspired by American culture are all products that fully reflect his taste for street culture. The Oily Burger and Double Cheeseburger, the most classic American-style signatures, along with the trendy Avocado Burger and Tropical Burger, were the initial menu items here. Over time, to cater to the diverse tastes of our customers, we developed the Shrimp Burger with added sweetness and sourness, and the Egg Hash Burger with a spicy flavor. At Oily Burger, which literally means "greasy burger," we focus on the essence of the burger to offer hearty, handmade burgers that are convenient yet filling.
